Man shot and killed on Arden Arcade street

Quick work by a Sacramento County Sheriff's deputy early this morning could not save a man who was shot down on an Arden Arcade street.
At 1:42 a.m. a call came into the sheriff's department dispatchers regarding gunshots heard in the area of Howe Avenue and Whippoorwill Lane near Marconi Avenue and Interstate 80.
Already, a deputy was aware of the gunshots. A deputy executing a vehicle stop in the area had heard the gunshots and responded to the location.
