The Honorable _______
700 H Street, Suite 2450
Sacramento, CA 95814
Dear Supervisor ________:
As a taxpayer and voter in your district, I strongly oppose ANY cuts to the Sheriff’s Department. Keeping us safe should be your FIRST priority.
I understand you are planning to cut an additional 200 deputies, on top of cuts that have already been made.
I know that the Board of Supervisors has tough choices to make – but letting criminals run rampant in the County is not an acceptable choice to me or any serious voter.
Sincerely,
Date

Dear Supervisor ________:
I fear Sacramento County will soon be the destination of choice for criminals from all around the region, if you insist on making cuts to Sheriff’s deputies.
I urge you to reconsider to reconsider these cuts and find other ways to balance the County budget.
Invest in OUR Safety!
Thank you,

The Honorable _______
700 H Street, Suite 2450
Sacramento, CA 95814
Dear Supervisor ________:
Cutting any more deputy sheriff’s puts my family and community at risk!
This is a time when we need County Supervisors to step up to the plate and exert some leadership in a really difficult situation.
You need to review all options, think out of the box, and come up with a solution that will protect the public. Cutting the officers who are our first defense against violent crime is not a solution and is simply unacceptable.
Sincerely,

Dear Supervisor ________:
Cutting the Sheriff’s Department any more is simply unacceptable!
The voters and citizens of this County need each of you to invest in our safety and stop any more cuts.
I hope the Board will come to its senses and find other ways to balance its budget, before a crisis becomes a catastrophe!
Yours truly,

The Honorable _______
700 H Street, Suite 2450
Sacramento, CA 95814
Dear Supervisor ________:
You have to ask yourself one question, “Do you have an obligation to provide adequate safety to the citizens of Sacramento County?”
If you answered yes, then you must vote No on any more cuts and instead, you need to invest in our safety.
How can we expect deputies to be able to do their duty to “Protect and Serve” when they will be spread so thin? How many people have to die waiting for law enforcement to arrive before the powers that be figure out that this was a bad move?
Leadership starts at the top…are you a leader?
Sincerely,
